Open an image that you want to create as three dimensional.

Unlock the background layer [double click the “lock”] and name it “3D.”

Change the image to grayscale [Image > Mode > Grayscale]

Create a snapshot of this image [History tab > Snapshot icon].

Use the “move” tool and the arrow key to move the 3-D image ten spaces to the right.

Choose Select >All and make a copy of this image [Edit > Copy].

Return to the original saved image by using the snapshot.

Change the image to RGB mode. [Image > Mode > RGB]

Open the channels palette.

Select the blue and green channels (click on blue > shift key > click on green).

Paste the saved image into these channels [Edit > Paste].

Turn on all the channel “eyes.”

View with anaglyph 3-D glasses (red on the left).
