A Curriculum Dissemination Center (CDC) website now offer easy access to the latest Texas business education and marketing education curriculum resources. The website is http://www.tbmecdc.tech.uh.edu/.
With the CDC website, Texas BE and ME teachers will not have to wait for postal delivery to receive hard copies or CD-ROMs of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) curriculum products. The latest State curriculum products (resources, materials, etc.) are and will continue to be posted at the CDC content management portals for easy access to and use by Texas BE and ME teachers. We are continuously adding products (Curriculum Guides, Online Modules, Independent Study Modules, and Computer Assisted Instruction modules) as they become available to both the BE and ME sites.
The CDC site, as well as the numerous State approved curriculum materials and resources, are the result of funded grants awarded by TEA to the University of Houston, College of Technology.
The curriculum products for 2002-03 (the second year of grant funding to UH) are aligned to the State TEKS and TAKS. The products, materials, and activities span a wide variety of formats including computer aided instruction, distance education delivery methods (including online learning opportunities), and teacher professional development modules, etc. for both teachers and students.
All the products on the site are available at no cost to Texas Educators. All you need to do is visit the registration site in order to be entered into the database. This process takes approximately 72 hours. You will need to register as either a “Business Educator” or a “Marketing Educator”. If you need access to both the Business and Marketing Education CDC Web sites, you will need to use two different user names and email addresses.
If you have not yet registered yet for the Curriculum Dissemination Center, visit the site, located at wwwtbmecdc.tech.uh.edu . Use the bottom-most option “Need a password” to get registered.
After you have registered as either a “Business Educator” or a “Marketing Educator”, it will take us approximately 72 hours to add you to our user database. You will receive a confirmation email once you have been added to the site.
